Glenn,
Follow 165 South until you get to Paradise. The gate to the cemetery is at
9000 S 200 E in Paradise.
State Highway 165 only runs from Logan to Paradise. It is ten miles long.
Some years back the State extended 165 over the hill to Liberty, but later
that portion of the road from Paradise to Liberty was turned back to the
County.
About the Grouse; I haven't seen any for two weeks. If we happen to get a
big snow they will probably be around. The Grouse really like trees. They
eat any fruit and also eat the buds. Last year they were seen all around
town (Paradise) in trees like juniper, willow, crab apple, hawthorn, and
birch. They forage both on the ground and in the trees.
If I see any I will post on Birdtalk. Of course you are welcome to come
look too. Who knows?
If you happen to come to Paradise, it is often worthwhile to go down the
bottoms and across the river.
Go West at 8700 South 200 West in Paradise. 200 West is highway 165. Last
year the grouse were seen in this area too. Pheasants, Gray Partridge,
Ducks, Raptors, Shrikes, Cedar Waxwings, and a Dipper are possibilities.
Along with the usual fare of winter residents.
Great birding!
Jim
