[Birdtalk] Gulls

Hi Fellow Birders,

Sunday I went out to see all the wonderful gulls, got myself settled in as
they began to land for their morning nap (around 10:30), started setting up
my scope and tried to stay warm.  After the gulls were all settled in
(around 11:00) along comes an adult Bald eagle; the gulls fly every which
way but the eagle knows which one he wants, nails him in flight and drops to
the ground.  Immediately white feathers start flying, (as the wings keep
beating-ugh!).  I watched a little longer, drove around for a while but as
of 11:45 am I hadn't seen even one gull, (no surprise), I went on home.  Got
a flat tire on the freeway, too.  Some days were not meant to be!.
