Connie's question illustrates a good point. At times our location/direction information to a particular bird sighting is so general that a person not already familiar with an area could not find it. Sometimes we assume everyone knows what and where we are talking about. I know it takes more time and can be a pain, but providing more detailed location information (for both old and new birders as well as those new to the state) would be helpful.
Thanks,
Stephen

Pond? What pond? I went looking for the pond in Wellesville and couldn't find it. I found the cheese factory and a stream, but no pond. THe only birds I saw were 2 mallards (male/female pair). Could you give instructions on how to find this pond? Thnx
