Couple of things: Heading to the Homestead for anniversary last Tuesday evening; turned W off Hwy 40 on to River Road (N of Heber, heading to Midway) and counted 15 Wild Turkeys eating gravel (or whatever grows along the road) right next to the road! Very cool. Come to think of it, was that my first Wild Turkey sighting in Utah? Can't remember but it certainly was Carma's first. She was giddy as a grade school kid at the first Pilgrim Thanksgiving.
The Dark-Eyed Juncos en masse have FINALLY found my feeders this winter. Been here in this house 11 years and never had regular Juncos. I think the snow helps a lot.
Took a walk around SLCC campus (where our CBC team went) yesterday right after the snow. Waxwings and others are still there. Even saw our Downy Woodpecker again! Got some nice Waxwing photos :)
Merry Christmas (and wife's b-day on 24th) to all.
John
