[Birdtalk] Strawberry Reservoir: Sparrows and pics

Conducted a Lakewatch at Renegade Point on Strawberry Reservoir, from
6:30-11:30am this morning (Friday).  Was very cold at sunrise, but warmed up
into the 70's by the end.  Slight winds (10 mph) out of the northeast kept bird
moving along the south shore.  Highlights included both a Rufous and
Broad-tailed Hummingbird investigating my hat, 5 species of Sparrow, a Northern
Flicker flying out over the lake, and a flock of around 125~ Swallows that was
first seen several hundred yards to the north over the lake, that ended up
hitting the shore where I was counting from.  The flock fed in the area for
abotu 15 minutes before the majority of the birds "disappeared".  The flock was
mostly VGSW, but also included Bank, NRWS, and Cliff.

A large flock of sparrows with several Pine Siskin was feeding on the edge of
the parking area and allowed for a great photo opportunity.  Also 3 Sage
Thrasher were playing around my vehicle and allowed for shots as well which can
be seen below with the totals.

Renegade Point is located at the southend of Strawberry Reservoir and can be
reached from the turnoff to the Visitor Center on the northwest end of
Strawberry Reservoir.  There is a $5 day use fee to use the area.
