Hi,

It took me a day to find the campsite where Angie saw the hummer. I put up a
couple of feeders and that might have been a mistake. I spent four hours
Saturday morning and the same today. The feeders attracted a very territorial
female Rufous Hummingbird and she chased any others clear out of sight. I moved
one out of sight of the other one and had four or so Rufous coming to them.
No other hummers were sighted.

I guess I did a little sit while I was there. I had my camera on a tripod
and locked onto one feeder while I watched the other one and the other birds.
Some of the juncos came within six or so feet from me while I sat there. Others
seen while sitting on my chair were Gray Flycatchers, Brown Creeper,
Orange-crowned Warbler, Common Raven, Cordilleran Flycatcher, Yellow Warbler,
Northern Flicker, House Finch, Northern Goshawk, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, American
Robin, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Warbling Vireo, Hairy Woodpecker, Turkey Vulture,
and a Red-tailed Hawk. Not that bad from one spot in four hours. The bird
activity really declined after 10:30 when the sun came out from behind the
clouds.

I took down the feeders because I probably will not go up there again. Now
is a good chance for someone else to see it.
