Message: Since people were having issues with my directions :) I went back to the uintas (armed with a camera)to do a physical run over the directions and possibly see the bird! The error, in my directions, was after the turn off onto soapstone basin road you drive 3.8 miles from the turnoff to the campsite road. I had described it as 2.8. I had given GPS coordinates and maps as well but these have not been posted yet. If you would like these please send me an e-mail and I will forward them to you. To those who looked for the hummer based on the wrong directions, I appologize. It was rainy and cold when I was there (6:30 -7:30 pm on 8/4/2007). The hummers were few and flying high over head. I heard black chinned. I may go back today or tomorrow. I will post again if I see the hummingbird.
