Since the Eurasian Collared-Dove was seen this weekend in both Sevier
and Wayne Counties by participants of the UCB field trip to the Capitol
Reef area, there are only three counties in Utah that haven't reported
the EC Dove. (according to the Utah Birds county checklists). These
counties are:
Carbon, Rich and surprisingly Summit Counties. Boy that was quick!
The first "official" sighting for Utah was in 2000. If anyone has seen
a Euraian Collared-Dove in any of these three counties please let me
know (and we can consider this clean sweep for the EC Dove).

Here's link to the composite county checklist:

Also, added to the Wayne County checklist were 3 species:
Great Egret
Euasian Collared-Dove
Lucy's Warbler
(the checklist now has 234 species)

and added to the Sevier County checklist were 9 species:
Tundra Swan
Common Loon
Great Egret
Virginia Rail
Greater Yellowlegs
Euasian Collared-Dove
Belted Kingfisher (now on all 29 counties checklists)
Marsh Wren
Great-tailed Grackle
(the county list now has 152 species)

Thanks to those who have sent in reports of additional species that
need to be added to the county checklists. Here's a link to the
updated county checklist page:

Thanks again,
Milt Moody
