[Birdtalk] Spring Birds

Well, I sat outside for a couple of hours tonight.  The House Finches LOVE
the nectar feeder.  I still didn't see a hummer.  The Brown Headed Cowbirds
showed up yesterday.  *deep sigh*


Unlike the submitter of the editorials of the Standard Examiner, if I could
put one bird on the "unprotected" list I would choose Brown Headed Cowbirds
over Magpies.  After watching the Magpies grieve over a downed colleague
they are "more human" than they were before.  I don't invite them to my
yard, but I appreciate what they are.

If it is allowed on this board, what is the bird you would place on the
"unprotected" list?
