For the past year I used an Ipod for learning bird songs and for attracting birds (in accordance with ABA guidelines). This weekend I did a search of Apple's website Itunes for birding stuff and found that there are several groups of podcasts with birding themes. I especially enjoyed the Bird Watchers Digest podcasts. All of these podcasts are free. My favorite expression is the word “free”. My second favorite expression is hearing my wife say, “What is that odd looking bird over there?” This expression normally results in strained back and neck muscles as I turn too quickly to see where she is pointing. My least favorite expression is “Oh, it’s just a Robin.” Which I normally hear after I have already strained my back and neck muscles. I really enjoyed listening to the podcasts. It is a nice way to pass the time while waiting for a break in the rain.
