Birded several lake front locations today, including Antelope Island and
Farmington Bay. Highlights included the Eurasian Wigeon at Farmington
Bay, several migrant songbirds at Garr Ranch: Common Yellowthroat and
Ruby-crowned Kinglet; and several shorebird migrants, including 7 Snowy
Plovers near MM 6 on the causeway, as well as 4 Willet on the Causeway
(2 pairs, each with a female on nest, which is odd as the first report
of this species was this weekend), and 4 more along the road to Garr
Ranch. A few late waterfowl species were hanging around, including 2
Greater Scaup at Farmington Bay WMA on the pond to the west of the first
right turn. Several Bufflehead and Lesser Scaup were also still present.

Complete lists and numbers of species can be seen below.

Cheers,
Tim
