There were more people than birds today between Lincoln Beach and
LeBaron Point along the southern end of Utah Lake. But there were a few
new and noteworthy observations.
- two willets were seen at Lincoln Beach, along with killdeer and
American coots. No snowy plovers were seen, nor were any other peeps.
- An olive-sided flycatcher was heard repeatedly at Lincoln Beach. This
seems early for this species to me, and this is the first time I have
observed it along Utah Lake.
- lone barn swallows were seen in two different places between Lincoln
Beach and LeBaron point. Numerous tree swallows were also seen.
