[Birdtalk] Sandpiper

Regarding the unidentified sandpiper walking on a downed tree trunk, in my mind there are several features that say Solitary Sandpiper. The general jizz of the bird suggests a Tringa genus bird - the long, lanky appearance, long, straight bill. The wing/tail length is almost the same. The amount of coloring on the neck and chest. The eye ring with a faint pale lore. The generally darker throat. The bill is too long and stiletto-like for a Spotted. Even with its neck stretched out, a Spotted should appear chunkier than this bird.
