Thanks for the report on the PARASITIC JAEGER. I have put it on the state Hot Line report. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your new scope too.

Subject: [Birdtalk] Big birding day

I started my day out at BRMBR trying for an american bittern with no success. Didn't even see the Sabine's gull, There was a Sora at the visitor center..
Next to Willard Bay thanks to Kristin Purdy for her post on the Common Terns I was finally able to add those to my life list at Pelican Beach. A lot of YR Warblers, Wilson's, Orange Crowned, Townsend's, Yellow, Nashville, MacGillivray's, Cedar waxwings, Cassin's and Plumbeous vireos, Great-tailed grackle. And two very loud Kingfishers.
Then a stop at the Wild Bird Center to get myself a real spotting scope.
Then to AIC the PGP was on the wrong side of the causeway, south side right at mm 5. While I was trying to find him this dark brown gull crossed my field of view I thought Jaeger, got my binoculars on it for a few seconds before I lost it in a world for mad gulls. Spent the rest of the afternoon drinving up and down the causeway trying to find it.

It is great to be out again, and with my new scope I will be able to look at peeps and gulls finally.

Good Birding.
