Folks,

I went to Antelope Island Causeway today were I met up with Merrill Webb.
We were subsequently joined by Keith Evans and Jack Rensel. We were not
able to find the plover. Further on down the causeway, past the first
bridge and small island on the north side, we met Deedee O’Brien, who was
coming from the island. Deedee told us she had seen the plover previously
that day. We went back to MM #5 to look for the bird and right away were
joined by Rick Fridell, who told us that the bird had been sitting on a log
not to far from the shore. We were able to see it as it was working the
water, not too far from shore. One odd thing we saw was that it started
pecking at an injured or sick Western Sandpiper, but subsequently moved
away! That was about 3:15-3:30 p.m. So, it is still there at MM #5!

Glenn
