[Birdtalk] Hummingbird question

With all the recent discussion about hummingbird sightings and such, I've been wanting to ask a question of my own. During fall migration, we have many hummers in our backyard, but I've only seemed to notice females and juveniles - no males. I've noticed it this year and years before. Am I missing something or is there an explanation for this?
