Reinhard Jockel and I relocated the Pacific Loon this morning. It was in the same bay area east of the Hyrum state park beach. Yesterday it was swimming in the proximity of a juvenile Common Loon. Today it was with a group of three adult Common Loons. The Great Egret that I saw yesterday was gone, but the Great Blue Heron is still in the area. The Bald Eagle was in a tree overlooking the beach area. I saw the eagle swoop down to attack a Common Loon (the loon escaped by diving). A few minutes later the Bald Eagle dove and grabbed a fish from the reservoir. This Bald Eagle had the white head and tail of a mature bird. We saw a Barn Owl in the barn next to Dave's point. Other birds included Buffleheads (3), Eared Grebe, lots of American Coots, Kingfisher, American Pipits, Clark's Grebe, and Western Grebes. We were not able to relocate the Lewis Woodpecker.
