Kristin and all,
I found a Northern Mockingbird at Garr Ranch on Friday. I guess that makes
at least 6 individuals in Davis and Weber Counties at the same time!
On Saturday I went birding around Willard Bay...
S. Dike of Willard Bay Playas : continuing BONAPARTE'S GULLS (8) and 22
COMMON TERNS and only 11 Forster's Terns
Stand of Cottonwood Trees just to the north of Willard Bay SP entrance (near
the pond that's to the north of WBSP) : late-ish migrants were 1 bright
WARBLING VIREO, 1 male WILSON'S WARBLER, 3 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, and 1
LINCOLN'S SPARROW
Trees at Willard Bay SP : 1 WINTER WREN, 1 BEWICK'S WREN, 1 CASSIN'S VIREO,
a lot of ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, 1 male TOWNSEND'S WARBLER and a whole ton
of YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS (including several 'Myrtle')
Today (Sunday) I went down to River Lane...migrants included...at least 3
BEWICK'S WRENS, 2 MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES, 1 CASSIN'S VIREO, 3 HERMIT THRUSHES,
many ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, way more YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and several
SPOTTED TOWHEES
