[Birdtalk] Salt Lake CBC

Hi Folks -

Just want to pass along some information on the Salt Lake CBC which is scheduled for Saturday, December 16th.

First of all, you won't want to miss the potluck dinner after the count.  It will be held at the Chase Mill which is on the grounds of Tracy Aviary and will begin at 6:00 p.m..  The Chase Mill was originally constructed in 1852 and is in the process of being renovated.  Some of us toured the mill today and it is fabulous.  We plan to have a great social!

GSLA will provide plates, cups, utensils and napkins.  You may bring your own drinks if you want something other than the water and sodas we will provide.  If there are a few people who could help us out by bringing a MAIN DISH, please let me know.  The rest will be strictly potluck.

Along with eating and socializing, we'll get a report from each of the teams on what birds were seen in the count circle.  There might be a few surprises as well.

Count teams are starting to come together, but are not yet firm.  I will be out of town the rest of this week so if I haven't contacted you about team assignments, I will do so when I return.  If you haven't signed up yet and want to participate, it's not too late to get in touch with me.

We will not be meeting as a group on the morning of the count.  I will distribute the information ahead of time so the teams can make their own plans.

For now, please send me a quick RSVP so we'll have an approximate count for the social.  Also, let me know if you can provide a main dish.
