[Birdtalk] hummingbird

Two years ago, a hummingbird visited a family in December and January on Ogden's east bench at the highest street level. One of the homeowners took video of the bird. I went to look at the footage. The film was only good enough to tell that the bird using the feeder was a hummingbird. But this sighting, along with the North Ogden Anna's a couple years back, inspired me to maintain my hummingbirds out all winter and encourage others to do the same.

A great source of information on vagrant hummingbirds across the US is this web site:

Note that the webmaster is interested in reports of hummingbirds after November 15.

  Hi,
"MY" female Rufous just visited my feeder, and I am starting to get curious if anyone else in northern Utah has hummingbirds. I know Mort has the Anna's in North Ogden, but are there any others? Also how late is the latest for a Rufous? I have never had one past September that I can remember.
