I walk Parley's Gulch (below Tanner Park) with my dogs about twice a week and the birding there today (8 - 9:30 AM) seemed to be at its peak. Identified 22 species this morning.

Lazuli Buntings
Western Tanagers
Gray Cat Birds (3 separate area sightings)
Black-headed Grosbeaks (numerous)
Yellow Warblers (numerous)
American Gold Finches
House Finches
Song Sparrows (numerous)
House Sparrows
Bullock's Orioles
Robins
Brown-headed Cowbirds
Starlings
Black-capped Chicadees
Western Kingbird
Cedar Wax Wings (numerous)
Spotted Towhees
Warbling Vireo
Mourning Doves
Scrub Jays
Northern Flickers
Quail (heard only)

Have seen a Cooper's Hawk, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and Lesser Goldfinches there earlier this week, but not today. No hummingbirds seen there yet, and the Juncos seem to have moved on.
