This afternoon I saw two male Bobolinks in a Weber County/Ogden Valley location that I haven't seen reported in the past--one mile west of the entrance to the Middle Fork WMA. The birds were singing over a field and landing on irrigation equipment on the north side of 1900N about a tenth of a mile east of SR-166 as I was headed toward the Middle Fork. The field is across the road from a house with a fish-shaped mailbox and wrought iron horse-and-carriage sign that says Rasley 7083. Has anyone else ever seen them there?
The "other" historic Bobolink location in the valley is approximately 2 miles south of the Middle Fork WMA on the east side of the road.
