Subject: another request for help

Email_Address: bryceharrison at optonline.net

Message: I will be out in Salt Lake City for a family reunion with my in-laws over Memorial Day weekend, and I have committed my wife to let me have one day of birding, probably on May 30th. Would anyone have any information on where I might see a few key species, preferrably close to Salt Lake City? I am especially interested in seeing MacGillivray's Warbler, Calliope Hummingbird, and Lewis's Woodpecker, as these would all be life birds.

Also, is barn owl still be seen at Garr Ranch, and if so where? Finally, has anyone ventured up Big Cottonwood Canyon to see how far up the snow has receded? I am hoping that with the record heat you have been having, that I will be able to get in some high elevation birding.

Any information you might have would be very helpful, and I appreciate all your posts to the listserve.

thanks, [Please respond to bryceharrison at optonline.net]
