Greetings,

If you see a bird you'd like to report to the "hotline" but you don't have access to the your usual e-mail account that is on the hotline list (messages will only go through if the "from" e-mail address is on the list serve member list), you can report it in several ways:

1. You can call someone who's on the list and have them post it for you.
2. You can e-mail someone on the list and have them forward (or copy and paste) the message to the hotline.
3. If you have internet access, you can fill out a "hotline form" which will send a message to Eric Huish who will forward it on to the appropriate "hotline" -- Go to the utahbirds.org and select "report a hotline bird" (the third link down on the left side menu), fill out the form and click "submit." Here's the address of the link:

If you see a bird and you have a cellphone or internet access you should be able to get the message out somehow.

We should have a beeper system so everybody could receive instantanious information about good bird sightings. Wouldn't THAT be great! (In some parts of the world they actually have that kind of system, but here in Utah it's still just a dream)!

Thanks to all those who've been reporting these nice spring birds,
Milt Moody

P.S. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our "hotline system" please let me know. Thanks.
