Message: Saturday, my friend Susie saw a Sandhill Crane down in the Charleston area just North of the Osprey nest. We also saw yellow-rumped warblers just off the bank of Deer Creek Reservoir yesterday. Red-winged and yellow-headed blackbirds and a couple of white crowned sparrows.

I believe the ducks we saw were American coot - there were several, also California gulls and lots of robins were there.

At home in Midway, I experienced more American goldfinch, a couple Lazuli Buntings and a pair of mourning doves along with my regular house finch, Juncos, Chipping sparrows and white-crowned sparrows, pine-siskins, Chickadees, downys and both a male and female Northern flickers. I also had a Cooper's Hawk flying overhead. I briefly saw a Spotted Towhee ground feeding. I have had at least two varieties of hummingbirds visit my feeder - identification to follow.
