Today at my feeders in Central I saw my first southbound male Rufous
Hummingbird. Black-chinned have been ruling the feeders until he showed up
and that changed real fast. The overall numbers of Hummingbirds seems to be
up this year compared to last year. Probably the more arid conditions this
year have them hanging around the feeders more.

There are a lot of hatch year B chins beginning to showing up now. I also
have had a male Anna's coming in early and late the last couple weeks but
that is about it for Hummingbirds this month.
