[Birdtalk] Red-breasted Merganser

Has anyone heard of a Red-breasted Merganser record in Utah in late June?!? Scott Baxter photographed a handsome adult male Red-breasted Merganser today on the Willard Spur (not sure where that is--presumably Box Elder County). My best guess to explain this duck's presence is that he's an early molt migrant. Any other ideas?
