Folks,
This afternoon at about 4:30 I visited with Mark at the University Hospital.
I have to tell you that what I saw was 100% improvement. He was scheduled
for further surgery on the left arm at about 5 p.m., to repair some places,
and indicated that the plastic surgeons plan on doing some skin grafts in a
few places. But, otherwise, he was greatly improved. He told me that he
would probably go home tomorrow, but would then have to return for the
additional surgery. He also commented that he was beginning to remember
parts of the accident and that all the windows on his Toyota 4-Runner were
broken, as a result of the vehicle rolling 4 times! He said that the
employee from Magcorp cut him out of his seat belt, as he was hanging upside
down.
Mark was able to get out of bed and start his University Hospital Bird List.
He said the first bird on the list was Mourning Dove. That’s funny, the
first bird I saw was a Black-billed Magpie!
I told him about the many kind thoughts I received, and he told me how much
he appreciated them. He also told me that when he got home he would get
back on-line, so we should be hearing from him personally.
Thanks for your concern. I was also pleased to meet Dee and his Mother, who
were also visiting.
Glenn
