Message: We have been fascinated by the pair of falcons raising young in our backyard (we abut the mountain in east Ogden and have an area of tall scrub oak). It has taken a long time to get a good look at them. This morning I was able to see the pair and 2 young. I believe they are peregrine falcons. They have been here for the past 2 months. I had not heard of anything like this here so I thought I would post this and see if there is any interest. I would love to hear of other sightings in Ogden or the area (perhaps this is nothing new . . . I just don't know.) I have been able to begin to recognize their calls and to hear the difference between the male and female. Today, I
heard one of the adults calling back and forth to the young who were in different trees. It was truly fascinating.
