[Birdtalk] Purple martin nests

Greetings All:
 
The Purple Martins that nest on the Rafter S Ranch property on the road to  
La Plata have been seen in the same nest tree and region for the last 5  years. 
 They are usually seen arriving in May and nesting in early  June.  This year 
they were about two weeks later than usual in  starting nesting.  I watched 
them carrying nesting material into the  nest cavity on June 22 while leading a 
private birding tour there.
