I had a chance to spend a few hours on the Airport dikes and at Utah
Lake State Park early yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately I cannot report
seeing any wood storks, roseate spoonbills, or purple gallinules. The
birds one normally expects to see and hear were present. Water levels
appear to have dropped about 12" in the last four weeks but are still
far higher than at this same time last year. There should very good
habitat for those birds beginning to migrate south in just a few weeks.
