[Birdtalk] Great-tailed Grackles?

We were out to Antelope Island December 28.  There was plenty of Pipits and Ravens, but we didn't see anything too exciting.  As we left, we stopped at the Smith's store in Syracuse.  To our surprise there was five Great-tailed Grackles foraging around the parking lot.  

Are these guys extending their range?
