[Birdtalk] Gardening for birds

I am trying to make our garden more bird friendly.  A search of the Salt Lake County Library system turned up numerous books on the subject.  One especially good one is, Bird-by-Bird Gardening by Sally Roth (2006).  I am developing a list of bird friendly plants we currently have and compiling a list of plants we could add.  I plan to take this "add"  list to Red Butte Garden in Salt Lake to see if I can find these plants actually growing.  Also a visit to a good local nursery should be helpful.  If anyone has suggestions on good bird friendly flowers/trees/shrubs for this area and/or additional resources I would appreciate knowing about them.  Thanks
