Subject: [IBLE] Peregrine Fund & Journals

As I am nearing retirement, I was looking for a good place for my
scientific journals (about 1/2 ton's worth). Thanks to the tip from Greg
Rice, I donated most of them to the Peregrine Fund. I tried several other
locations before learning about the Peregrine Fund, and no one else was
interested. The Peregrine Fund will take your old bird magazines, old bird
books and scientific journals. You'll get a good tax deduction and the
books will get put to a good use. Donations are used for the Peregrine
Fund Library, for trade, and for export to ornithologists in other
countries who otherwise wouldn't have access to these books and journals.
So if like me, you find yourself with more books & journals than you can
keep, contact the Peregrine Fund and see if they can use your stuff.
You'll be helping birds and yourself. As an added benefit they have the
best collection of used bird books for sale that I have ever seen. I
picked up some recent stuff for about half price of new and a couple old
classics.
