[Birdtalk] South Canyon

We took a ride from Paradise to the summit of South Canyon Sunday. This is  mostly a dirt road and not recommended unless your vehicle has good ground clearance.  

The highlight of the trip was a number (30) of Mountain Bluebirds.

Other birds seen included:  Crow, Mourning Dove, House Finch, Barn Swallow, Eastern Kingbird, Cedar Waxwing, Kestrel, Red-tailed Hawk, Lark Sparrow, Meadow Lark, Turkey Vulture, Chickadee, Goldfinch, and Killdeer. 

I took a number of photos of the terrain and scenery.  It is interesting how diversified the habitat is in the area.   Sorry no bird pictures.
