[Birdtalk] Bird Talk battles

Greetings Bird Talk Subscribers,
   
  I appreciate your patience with some of this negative stuff that periodically apprears on our list serve.  Again I was away when the "events" transpired -- happens every time, I swear!
   
  I've asked Richard Wood not to participate in our list serves (and have removed his e-mail address, etc.)  If he happens to get through which is not a hard thing to do, please ignore (or read what he has to say, if your interested) his messages.
   
  I dislike the idea of banning someone from our lists, but I think it has reached that point as far as I'm concerned (and some may think it's way over due -- from the e-mail I've received over the past few years).
   
  I think the Bird Talk should be a positive, helpful communication between birders.  This doesn't mean we can't disagree or air grievances, but that we should do it in a positive, helpful and repectful way -- which has generally been the case  -- I'm impressed with the restraint and tolerance exhibited by our list serve member -- thank you very much.
   
  If there are any disruptively negative or offensive personal attacks or grievances that you'd like to send, please just send them straight to me, where it generally ends up anyway.  The buck (along with its fecal material) stops here!
