I had a Townsend's warbler today in the Uintas. It was near the Pass Lake
trailhead. Take the trail toward Camp Steiner about 100 yards. It was about
20 feet up in the trees, moving a lot and calling a little. It was in fall
plumage.
We also saw two small but noisy groups of pine grosbeaks moving through the
woods.
Good birding,
Jim Woolf
