We also saw both the juvenile and adult Neotropic Cormorants this afternoon about 1 pm. The adult was by itself on the salt cedar island in the main pond, and the juvenile was preening on the end of a nearby small island. There were no interactions with the Double-crested Cormorants. Nice find, Pomera!
Joel

> To: Birdnet@utahbirds.org
> From: tanager@timaverybirding.com
> Date: Mon, 20 Jul 2009 01:05:59 +0000
> CC:
> Subject: [Birdnet] 2 NEOTROPIC CORMORANTS at Lee Kay Ponds
>
> The previously reported bird along with a juvenile were keeping close company this evening on the east pond. The adult repeatedly fed the younger bird and on several occasions the 2 attacked Double-crested when they got too close.
>
> Ironically I saw 2 NEOTROPICS at Ivins Reservoir in Washington.
