[Birdnet] Pine Siskins nesting?

Hi birders,

Yes, I am still birding! Had some great experiences this winter in my
backyard-three new yard birds-also got my new scope for my birthday (had
been bugging my husband for a year and dropping little hints!).
Unfortunately, about the first of February my three dogs all became sick at
the same time. Two were poisoned, both of which survived-thanks to the
doctors at Willow creek vets. But I think it was pretty hard on their
systems. I had one come down with pancreatitis-very deadly. Another
swallowed a big ball and had to be put to sleep. He had been sick for
years. My oldest is still hanging in there but fell down the steps and
hurts his back. He is sixteen going on seventeen..100 years old in "people"
years. Anyway, to end this long story about DOGS, I have spent the last 5
months cleaning up continually, preparing special meals for each one, making
sure they all got their medications on time and the right ones (even got
those little plastic daily pill boxes!). Looks like in a month or two I
will be down to one... I hope to start getting out soon and look forward to
using my scope.
(Spent all of my gas money and bought some vets new corvettes!).

I have a question for everyone-probably everyone knows the answer but I
didn't know if Pine siskins nested in the middle of summer in Murray? I
have what looks like a family of them in my backyard. Almost impossible to
spot them except when they fly but their call note is quite distinctive.
Good birding,

Sue Hinde
