Sunday I spent some time sifting through the gulls at Farmington Bay.
Highlights included:

1 Glacuous-winged Gull
1 Lesser Black-backed Gull
1 Mew Gull
8 Thayer's Gull
Numerous California, Herring and Ring-billed Gulls

About 90 American White Pelicans were feeding at the first bridge. A small
flock of SANDHILL CRANES was seen flying north over the east end of the
marshes. Small numbers of Tundra Swan were also present.

There was one gull that bothered me. It looks very Glaucous-winged, but it
was the size of a Thayer's Gull, which it also resembles in many
characteristics. I left it as gull sp, because I am not 100% sure of what
it actually is. Hybrid? An oddball Thayer's? Cliff, Colby, Mark? Care to
weigh in? It was close and allowed for tons of pix which can be seen here:
