[Birdnet] Garr Ranch

I spent several hours at Garr Ranch on Antelope Island today. The
birding was medium - not completely dead and not all that active. The
show of the day was at the north hummingbird feeder on the porch of the
house. There were about 12-15 hummers at total war - a combination of
Rufous (surprise, surprise) and Calliope. I have never seen so many
Calliopes in one location. The hummers were literally body-slamming
each other to take control of the feeder.

Also present was a little wave of warblers - several Wilson's, a
Yellow, and a Yellow-rumped. A Plumbeous Vireo cruised through along
with a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, a couple of Red-breasted Nuthatches, and
one Western Tanager. I saw only one empid which came and went in a
hurry, along with a backlit thrush - couldn't tell in the bad light
whether it was a Swainson's or Hermit. The owl was napping, swallows
were everywhere, a kestrel was keeping watch, and that's about it. The
causeway had bazillions of phalaropes at the bridge closest to the
island. Both Wilson's and Red-necked in winter plumage were present.
Avocets and Stilts were the other dominant birds along the causeway.
Fall is here.
