This is a bit tardy, but in response to Jerry's note, I saw two
ospreys last Saturday. One at Mirror Lake, fishing in the falling
snow, appeared to be a juvenile bird. It was pretty clumsy. The other
was feeding on the ground at the inlet end of Deer Creek Reservoir, on
the far shore, late in the afternoon.
