Hi All,

At the Fielding-Garr Ranch Sunday we saw a small, active, plain, LBB that
from the head profile, apparent eyebrow, overall coloration, lack of wing
bars, and lack of underside streaks or spots, we took to be possibly a
Warbling vireo. The bird was flitting about in the large deciduous trees.
Since neither of us has good hearing, we can't report on that aspect. Does
anyone know if there are Warbling vireos at the ranch? Did we miss
something and another ID is more likely? Or do we need to mark this one
down as just another unidentified LBB?

There was a pair of Western tanagers hanging out in a Russian olive at the
ranch. We also got to see a mother antelope with a brand new kid deal
harshly with a curious coyote, and a Peregrine buzz a flock of Sanderlings.
One interesting thing we repeatedly noted was Willets perched in the tops of
sagebrush bushes.looked really weird to see big shorebirds perched up there
like songbirds!
