I routinely take a walk around Sugarhouse Park when I'm in town, and have been tracking birds there for the past four years. Most days I see the usual suspects: Canada Geese, Rock Pigeon, Brewer's Blackbird, House Finch, Starling and the assorted "park" ducks. Occasionally I will be presently surprised with a visit from a species not normally associated with this busy urban setting: Eared Grebe, Spotted Sandpiper, American Coot, American White Pelican. Friday my "park list" reached #40 with the sighting of a Bald Eagle. It wasn't actually in the park, but rather soaring high overhead.
Good Birding
