David Wheeler and I will be heading up to Green Canyon Saturday
evening, and will be taking my van for the clearance to get up the
canyon. I have several seats available for anyone who wishes to share
gas cost (and make it an environmentally friendly "twitch"). I think I
can fit about 5-6 more. We plan on leaving SLC at 6:00 p.m. Call me on
my cell phone at 518-5618 if you want to go.

Nice recordings, Ryan and Ron. Your bird is a "Mexican" Whip-poor-
will, the subspecies (species?) found in Arizona up to S. Nevada. It's
the subspecies I would expect in SW Utah, but I was frankly curious as
to whether that or the eastern subspecies would be most likely in
Cache Valley. This is a bird I've expected we'd find in Utah, but
Green Canyon is about the last place in the state I would have looked
- this is a great find!
