Jeff and I kayaked Little Dell (Salt Lake County) this evening and although it wasn't as birdy as we have had in the past, we had a few pleasant surprises including; a Northern Mockingbird singing on the hillside near the lower southeast parking lot. A pair of Clark's Grebe and a pair of Western Grebe swimming and diving around us while we paddled. The Clarks completes our "Utah Grebe" list for this location as we had added Red-necked earlier this spring. Other species included Great Blue Heron, Spotted Towhee, Warbling Vireo, American Goldfinch, Tree and Violet-green Swallow, Robin, Mourning Dove, Mallard, Magpie and Song Sparrow.
Good Birding,
Shelly
