[Birdnet] what's this critter???

[Utah Birds]

Hi,

I wonder if someone could take a look at this bird and tell me what it is. It almost looks like a Chipping Sparrow in the Sibley guide, but they aren't supposed to be in Utah in January. I saw it and 30 others like it in Syracuse, Utah, on 9 Jan 2008.
