Thanks Glenn and Betsy for letting us know about Kris. She is one of my all time favorite people. May she be blessed, and cared for at this time. Certainly our faith and prayers will be for her, and for her speedy recovery. WE LOVE YOU KRIS.

  Dear Birders,

   

  I received a telephone call about noon from Tim Avery informing me that Kris Purdy has been involved in a serious auto accident near Tremonton.  While on the phone with him I received a telephone call from the law enforcement people in Box Elder County.  I assume it was the sheriff's office, since they were involved with the accident.  They were going through a list of telephone numbers they found in her wallet to try and locate her husband/family.  They were subsequently able to contact him.  When I asked them how she was they told me she was "stable," (whatever that means).  Time told me, and the sheriff's office confirmed, that she was "life-flighted" to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

   

  I do not have any information other than the above, except that she was seen in the ER.  I will post any other information that I might receive.  I have personally notified some of her close birding friends at Wasatch Audubon and UCB.  Plus, Tim Avery already knows, of course.  Thanks, Tim.
