Dear Birders,

 

I received a telephone call about noon from Tim Avery informing me that
Kris Purdy has been involved in a serious auto accident near Tremonton.
While on the phone with him I received a telephone call from the law
enforcement people in Box Elder County.  I assume it was the sheriff's
office, since they were involved with the accident.  They were going
through a list of telephone numbers they found in her wallet to try and
locate her husband/family.  They were subsequently able to contact him.
When I asked them how she was they told me she was "stable," (whatever
that means).  Time told me, and the sheriff's office confirmed, that she
was "life-flighted" to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

 

I do not have any information other than the above, except that she was
seen in the ER.  I will post any other information that I might receive.
I have personally notified some of her close birding friends at Wasatch
Audubon and UCB.  Plus, Tim Avery already knows, of course.  Thanks,
