Bridget and others,

I'll use this as an opportunity to plug eBird yet again. Although you can't
see specific individuals information about birds, the collective is creating
a database of very useful information, such as sightings of Marbled Godwit:

http://tinyurl.com/327hxu
(the url was long hence the tinyurl link)

This particular search shows all sightings back to 1900 that have been
entered in eBird. One can search frequency, abundance, totals, high count,
average count, andeve birds per hour, by week, month, year, or history back
to whatever year one would like. There are also maps showing where the
sightings were entered form around Utah (albeit they are often down while
being updated).

In more depth you can search by county, hotspot, etc to find even more
detailed information on particular species, familes, or all species entered
in the database.

And you can download this information as excel spreadsheets to for use on
your desktop while gathering data.

ebird.org is really starting to pick up a lot of data, and trends & patterns
are starting to become visible in the data.

Good Birding

Tim
